Welcome to February, DTS Readers! We enter the month of the Groundhog (let’s hope he doesn’t see his shadow!), the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day Weekend. We’ll have plenty of content to cater to you for these themes on the Shore… except for maybe Groundhog Day - that’s Punxsutawney’s specialty.

Movie Rec: Which Brings Me To You

This 2024 rom com starring Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff was filmed all over Monmouth County, even though it’s a stand-in for the Hamptons in the movie. FYI it’s also currently streaming on Hulu.

Play eye spy with local spots such as the Broad Street Diner (Keyport), Riverside Gardens Park (Red Bank), Monmouth University, the Oceanic Bridge (between Rumson and Middletown), Keansburg Amusement Park, the Leonardo Motel, Holy Cross Church (Rumson), and One Willow Seafood Restaurant (Highlands). 

Weekly Forecast

It looks like another cold week with the current high point reaching 34 degrees.

According to the Asbury Park Press, this was the first time the Navesink River froze since 2018.

On the bright side, 34 degrees is technically not freezing, so we’re headed in the right direction?
