Down the Shore
Vol. 2 - Week of September 14th
Before we herald in the Fall Equinox next week, we have the perfect mix of things to do whether you’re firmly in pumpkin spice season or not ready to say goodbye to local summer yet.
Here are your five things to do this week Down the Shore in Monmouth County:
🎉Festivals for the rest of us!
Saturday, September 20th is turning out to be a big fest day. Take your pick:
Feel the amore at the Spring Lake Italian Festival
Toast with “Prost” at Oktoberfests in both Highlands and The Asbury Hotel
Step back in time at Historic Allaire Village’s Fall Harvest Festival
😎Take one last dip
Grab a swim day pass at the St. Laurent Social Club (with better odds you’ll snag a prime sun chair). Make a day of it before the Pool closes for the season and grab lunch while you’re there. We highly recommend the Market Salad and the Heirloom Burger paired with a Spritz from their vintage beverage cart.
🍿Catch a Flick
Take it outdoors while you still can at The Asbury Hotel’s Baronet Outdoor Rooftop Movies. Buy your tickets online in advance - this week’s showings include Mamma Mia! (9/18), Raiders of the Lost Ark - Indiana Jones (9/19), and Toy Story (9/20).
🥐Head to the Market
Browse the stalls at Anderson Market, Red Bank’s newest foodie playground and gourmet food hall. We’re excited to see additional locations to grab our local favorites like Nick and Sons Bakery and Booskerdoo Coffee.
☕️Give in to PSL Szn
Here are two brews for the boos depending on whether you like it hot or iced 👻. So far we’ve tried:
Rook’s Pumpkin Style Cold Brew 🧊
Booskerdoo’s Pumpkin Caramel Latte 🔥
